The Kent & Queen Anne's Rescue Squad
is the primary emergency medical
services organization serving
Chestertown and surrounding areas.
We are primarily a volunteer
organization with approximately 50
volunteer members. Additionally we
have 1 full-time paid member and
several part-time paid members who
were hired by the organization to
help us meet our commitment of
service to the community during
daytime hours when many of our
members are at work and unavailable
to respond.
Our membership shows a diversity
that in many ways is representative
of our rural community. As might be
expected we have members who work in
the medical field as paramedics,
EMT's, nurses, and even a physician.
The passion these members have for
providing care extends from their
regular jobs to the volunteer
service they provide the community.
In addition we are made up of
businessmen and women, teachers and
students , skilled trades workers,
law enforcement officers, and
retirees all serving together for
the company and the community. Many
of our members are active in other
volunteer fire or EMS services in
the area and of course anyone with a
desire to serve the community and
help us meet our mission is welcome.
