The Kent and Queen Anne’s Rescue Squad Fleet is completely owned and operated by volunteers. All Ambulances meet or exceed Federal, State and Kent County specifications and have also obtained the Maryland Seal of Excellence.

Ambulance 8
Ambulance 8 is a 1994 Freightliner FL70 chassis complimented by a Medtec patient care compartment. The First medium duty ambulance purchased by the Kent and Queen Anne’s Rescue Squad, this unit is equipped to provide advanced and basic emergency medical life support intervention, rear height adjusting suspension and Ferno model #37A. The 1 person stretcher provides safe, easy loading and unloading of patients. This runs first due on all fire, Rescue and Hazmat alarms and alternates first due on medical calls with ambulances 81 and 82
Ambulance 81
Ambulance 81 us a 2005 Lifeline Type III Ambulance complimented by a Ford E450 chassis. Equipped to provide advanced and basic emergency medical life support intervention, the patient compartment has custom designed cabinetry and countertops, dual rear interior controls and automatic climate control. Exterior features include: on spot snow chains, one-man oxygen tank caddy system and custom emergency lighting design. This unit alternates first due with Ambulance 8 and 82 on Medical calls and back up for Rescue, fire and Hazmat alarms.

Ambulance 82 us a 2006 Lifeline Type III Ambulance complimented by a Ford E450 chassis. Rescue 8
“Street Machine”
Rescue 8 is a 2001 Freightliner business class chassis with an American LaFrance walk around body. Almost a year in development and design, this four man enclosed cab has an air-ride driver’s seat, 9-1-1/SCBA combination seats in the rear, rear camera system, electric windows and mirrors, complete with oxygen therapy and BLS medical supplies. The box built around a 35 KW Generator with a Wilburt telescoping light tower mounted on the roof between compartments that house HAZMAT assist and clean-up equipment. Electric and compressed air reels are mounted on each side of the unit for easy access. Rescue equipment consists of complete Hurst hydraulic extrication system including RAMS, “O” Cutter, Paladin Spreader, portable gas and electric powered hydraulic pumps and 2 reels of hydraulic line. The “Street Machine” also carries power saws, Positive pressure ventilation fan, forcible entry equipment, salvage tarps, stokes basket, backboards, cribbing, full compliment of ropes and rigging equipment, cold water suits, (air, hand and electric) tools and a winch system designed into the vehicle that allows the portable unit to be mounted on any side of the truck. The department recently added a “Rescue 42” vehicle stabilization and tripod system to its compliment of equipment. Rescue 8 is dispatched on all Rescue box alarms in conjunction with Chestertown’s Rescue 6 and runs mutual aid to surrounding departments when requested.
EMS 8-10
A 1999 Dodge Durango, this vehicle primary assignment is medical and manpower assist to the ambulances. EMS 8-1 is outfitted with ALS and BLS medical supplies and can transport an additional 3 personnel to a scene when needed. Its secondary function is the tow vehicle for Boat 81 during water related emergencies
Utility 8
This 2004 Ford F350 Super Duty Crew Cab with Stahl Fiberglass work body is the primary tow vehicle for the department. The unit can carry up to five personnel and has a custom designed LED emergency lighting system. The truck body has a compliment of support equipment and water-related emergencies, including cold and dry water suits, scuba diving equipment, ice rescue tools and sled. Quick-raze fluorescent lights are mounted on the rear of the body for scene lighting along with lights on the bumper to assist with trailer hookup.
Utility 81

Utility 81 is a 2007 GMC Yukon which is also equipped to tow our any of our units. Additionally this unit is contains BLS medical supplies plus a stretcher to be used in conditions or areas where we can't get an ambulance. The stretcher mount is removable to allow us to add third row seating for transport of up to 8 members to classes or other events.
Boat 8
A 22-foot sea hawk vessel, this boat is our deep-water response unit. Coast Guard Approved and equipped with Scuba Dive and BLS Medical Supplies, this unit responds to all water-related emergencies in the Chester River and Chesapeake Bay surrounding Kent Co, MD.
Boat 81
This vessel was purchased in 2004 and is from Rescue One Connector Boast Series. The vessel can operate in shallow water areas due to its low draft design and Mercury jet drive outboard engine. The Boat is equipped with a dive ladder on the bow, light bar and has been Coast Guard certified and approved.
ATV 8
ATV 8 is a 4-Wheel Drive Kawasaki Mule utilized during off road emergencies and special public events. The ATV is equipped with a custom-built skid unit with a stretcher attachment for patient transport and BLS equipment. Special events include the Chestertown Tea Party, Kent county high school football games, Go-kart Races at Nicholson Speedway and other community related events .
Special Operations Unit
This Wells Cargo Trailer was designed for multiple usages for the department. The front section of the trailer has cabinetry and an office style area that can be utilized as a rehab, command post or treatment area. The rear of the trailer houses equipment to handle mass casualty incidents. The trailer is powered by a Honda Generator mounted on the tongue and can by self sufficient if the tow vehicle is needed elsewhere. Other features include a roof-mounted heating/air conditioning unit, full-length street side awning and two mounted, adjustable, fluorescent lights
