PSA: How to appropriately wear your cloth and surgical masks

Thursday, April 16, 2020
With the announcement of Governor Hogans new guidelines, we here at the Kent & Queen-Anne's Rescue Squad wish to help inform and educate the public on how to appropriately wear your cloth and surgical masks.

Pictured below is member Avery Boege wearing a Surgical Mask the proper way. You must ensure that while wearing these masks or a cloth mask similar to this one, that it covers both your mouth and rests on the bridge of your nose.

The science behind it: This virus is mainly spread through droplets in the air from person to person. When a COVID positive person coughs or sneezes, droplets are produced that could land in the mouths or noses of others, or even be inhaled by people in close proximity. This is why we also recommend social distancing of being 6 feet apart.
